Description: Job Purpose - Source various chemicals and other raw materials from new and existing suppliers - Maintain and monitor stocks of raw materials - Put together and update a database of raw materials on the corporate intranet - Dispatch raw materials to various sites in Asia, Europe, and USThe job will be located at our R&D facility in Hanoi and will be reporting to the Laboratories Manager. Major Accountabilities 1. Product Inspections and Follow-up Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide solutions to solve quality issues Common activities include: - Inspect materials, accessories, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality - Prepare, consolidate, update and file audit reports - Provide technical advice to factories to solve production and quality problems - Specify timeframe for factories to implement improvements 2. Sample Inspections Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers' quality standards Common activities include: - Inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers' samples) including materials, accessories, parts, components etc. 3. Technical Support Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality Common activities include: - Give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality - Answer merchandisers' enquires on quality or material issues4. Production Control Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process Common activities include: - Communicate customers' quality requirements to factories - Check if materials used for bulk production are of acceptable quality - Anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process 5. Others Perform other duties as assigned by Management
